YouTube videoeditor: first impression

I first tried to use the YouTube videoeditor a couple of days ago.

I really don't have much experience with editing videos overall, but I still deceided on " learning by doing" and just tried it out.

It seemed pretty straight forward, but I still ended up googling a couple of things.

I had to google to realize that while adding an image to a video from your computer is pretty simple, but if you want to add a videoclip, it can be either from the available creative commons videos, or you must have uploaded it on YouTube (it can be as private).

Another thing that I didn't immediately get, was how to use your own audio-files. Apparently those must be uploaded as a video too, and can then be added as audio by dragging the file to the audio-track.

But what I really liked about the YouTube videoeditor on this first inspection: it saves automatically and often.

Of course the drawback are the limited editing tools and effects, and I don't know how far you could really reach just with the YouTube editor, I still like the fact that it is handily available and I will check it out more in the future.
